Dear Pastors & Ministry leaders;
Tickets are going fast on this and we wanted to encourage you to encourage the moms & their tween age daughters to check this special event out, sponsored by 91.9/91.5 The Family.
John Slotten had this to say about the event: I support this and remember the great stories out of the last one that was done. Also a tough story about how the public school was being challenged on holding this. The local church had to pick it up and it did and has! I would take my daughters if young!!! I’ll also recommend it in the future for my granddaughters to go! Let’s reach and help transform our young girls and support this!!! Men let’s find ways to do the same for our young men!!! God Bless, John
While push-up bras, sexy dolls, and hip hop dance lessons seem to be the normal currency for ten-year-old girls, bestselling author Dannah Gresh continues to sound the alarm for moms to avoid such sexualization. This message, designed to encourage discussions about inner beauty, biblical modesty, and vibrant purity has been received enthusiastically by Northeast Wisconsin area mothers and daughters alike at sold-out shows in 2007 (Secret Keeper Girl – The Bod Squad Tour), and 2011 (Secret Keeper Girl LIVE – The Pajama Party Tour).
An all-new event, the Secret Keeper Girl – Crazy Hair Tour, visits the Fox Valley area again on Friday September 20 at Pathways Church in Appleton. Moms can expect their conviction to raise their daughters to embrace modesty, purity and true beauty to be refueled!
The Crazy Hair Tour— is a Bible-based relationship-building experience for moms and their tween daughters (typically ages 8-12). The two and a half hour event features a fun fashion show that demonstrates modesty, incredible balloon sculptures, bouncing beach ball competitions, mother/daughter conversation time, and colorful confetti cannons. It’s normal for a girl to be boy-crazy and be obsessed with fashion and beauty, but those crowd-pleasing choices have risks.
1 Girl Nation (1GN), an all-female pop quintet targeting tween girls, presents an exciting blend of upbeat, relevant dance pop music, with a Christ-centered message. The group will perform an opening concert and lead worship during the evening.
(Mom) Katie Glynn of Neenah-"Taking my big girls to a Secret Keeper Girl event years ago was the start of the talking for us. They showed stylish ways to dress modestly and also gave a trick to determine if a shirt was too low cut. It made it easy when shopping after that–the girls knew what our expectation was. The SKG event also talked to moms about dressing modest as an example–that’s huge and often not thought of! Little girls are watching and copying!"
Lana Connelly of Appleton: -"The Secret Keeper Girl Tour is an amazing event that will have a life changing impact on so many young girls thoughout the area. Seeing girls bond with their moms while gaining insight on topics such as true beauty and modesty is an incredible thing. We believe that this is one of the best tours out there for "tween" girls and we are excited to welcome them back to the Fox Valley!"
Thanks so much for your consideration.
