In October the 3rd annual Fox Cities Convoy of Hope was held at Fox Valley Technical College. Even though temperatures were in the 40’s 3800+ people came to be served by 1000+ volunteers. Over 60 organizations (churches, community service, government agencies) were represented. It was another great opportunity to show and share Christ’s love in a tangible way.
In 2010, Christ the Rock was the point church and John Slotten was the lead coordinator in our inaugural Convoy event. In 2011 and 2012, Fox Valley Christian Fellowship assumed the role as “point church” with Steve Nickel serving as lead coordinator.
There is a consensus among pastors, Convoy coordinators, community service providers, etc. to continue this collaborative effort. There was also a sense that we need to rotate leadership responsibilities. Community Impact as offered to serve as the “point” organization for 2013. However, we are in need of someone to step up to be the lead coordinator for Fox Cities Convoy of Hope 2013. I will continue to be significantly involved and will assist who God raises up to lead this worthwhile and necded event. We need to have someone volunteer soon to keep the momentum going.

God’s best to you!
